Case Study: Virginia Lottery
The Virginia Lottery produces more than a half-dozen daily live draw shows. With each show, the Lottery expects high quality, error-free productions. The Lottery started to experience a number of shows with production errors including incorrect camera framing, missing audio and wrong graphic information which is crucial to the Lottery’s operations. The quality of the drawings were rapidly diminishing.

The Virginia Lottery tapped the Broadcast and Production expertise of Crewestone Technologies to manage and create a plan to reduce its overall discrepancy rate. Crewestone’s assessment of the lottery operation was accomplished using a three –phase approach: Evaluation of Past Discrepancies, Evaluation of Immediate repair or replacement, Evaluation of Production techniques and discrepancies. Crewestone placed a Quality Assurance Manager on every live drawing to assess the skill levels of the production staff and the effectiveness of the production procedures Crewestone produced results. In the first six months of the contract, a significant decrease in operational errors occurred. The results were an increase in production value and a near flawless on-air product.

Case Study: Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN)
Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is a Public Access cable television service in Manhattan. MNN’s requirement was to upgrade their present master control facility from analog to digital signal platform.
The Crewestone Solution:
Crewestone design engineers answered the challenge of designing a turnkey master control facility. CTI developed technology solutions to convert the facility from analog to digital signal format. The technology infrastructure is based on the Pro-Bel hardware and software platform, and server based acquisition. The server based system supports programming and on-air signal distribution for four separate cable television channels, while adhering to technology requirements imposed by the four individual cable communication providers.

Case Study: City of Portsmouth Virginia - Cable Channel 48
CASE STUDY: City of Portsmouth sought to implement technology insertion within their city council conference room. The system would be used for media acquisition and documentation of official city government meetings.
